[Director] Heima Sakaguchi

Greeting

Hello, my name is Heima Sakaguchi, the director of Kyoto Station Sakaguchi Pediatrics & Heart Clinic.
Located conveniently within Kyoto Station, our clinic provides medical care for pediatric heart diseases and congenital heart disease patients who have reached adulthood.
We specialize in arrhythmia management (including cases detected during school checkups and pacemaker management) and adult congenital heart disease.
Of course, we also provide general pediatric care, so please feel free to consult us.
Our clinic can also respond to acute illnesses in children requiring oxygen therapy or those with tracheostomy care.

During my graduate studies, I researched food allergies and have since spent over 20 years dedicated to pediatric cardiology.
While focusing on improving children’s health, I often felt helpless seeing developmental challenges arise during hospitalization and treatment.
Children’s cognitive development is especially critical once they begin group life at school.
Through our clinic — a more accessible setting than large hospitals — I aim to provide early support for developmental variations in children.
